UAV Folding Joint Assembly
An aluminum-alloy folding joint for a UAV carbon-fiber arm. The assembly integrates the coupling bodies, lever, release button and linkage. Slide the orange button back, lift the lever and disengage the catch before folding around the main hinge. AXICOR NAVY metal bodies are paired with an ENERGY ORANGE release button. Provisional assembly part number: AX-FJ-001. Interface dimensions and suitability for your airframe are confirmed during project discussions.

Folding joint operation
Slide the release button back
Push the orange release button backward to release the lever lock.
Lift the lever
Lift the unlocked lever to actuate the catch linkage.
Raise and disengage the catch
As the lever rises, the catch tilts upward and disengages.
Fold the joint at the main hinge
With the catch released, fold the joint around its main hinge axis.
Based on the supplied CAD and operating directions. Intermediate release travel is illustrative.
